New PJ Monsters Update Patch Comming

Hey Everyone

There is a new patch that will be coming out for Pixeljunk Monsters that might bring you back to playing the game or buying it for the first time. Here is some of the new things being added:

Difficulty Levels:
There is now a Casual mode, the Regular/Ranked mode, and Hard-core mode.

Tower Menu selection:
You can now set the default menu to appear when selecting a tower! Now you can choose which option appears as the default, instead of the last action you selected. So no more accidently selling your towers :)

Tower Balancing:
Those of you who have purchased Encore know about the reduced cost on the Ice Tower, and balanced functionality of the Tesla tower. This patch applies those changes to BOTH islands, not just the Encore island.

Video Recording / YouTube Support:
Ever since Q-Games included this feature into PixelJunk Eden, we knew it needed to be in Monsters as well. You will be able to record up to 10 minutes of gameplay and upload it directly to your YouTube account, or send it to your video folder on your PS3’s XMB.

XMB Custom Soundtrack Support:
You can now make your own custom soundtrack to listen to as you play PixelJunk Monsters and Encore! I’ve personally been enjoying listening to the PixelJunk Eden soundtrack while I play Monsters, as well as listening to the PixelJunk Monsters soundtrack within Eden! It’s great how well those fantastic soundtracks work in other games.


Oh and did I mention that there will be TROPHIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)


PJM & PJME Trophy Support:

PJM has challenge mode type trophy system where they give you a specific task you need to do on a certain level to attain a trophy. There are trophies for both PJM and PJME.

Here is a list of them so far:

Gold Trophy
Rainbow Team - Perfect clear the specified stage


Silver Trophies
4 Tree Rainbow - Perfect clear the specified stage
Get Medieval - Clear the specified stage using only arrows and cannons

Encore : Black Flag - Without selling any towers, clear the specified stage with all towers upgraded to black


Bronze Trophies
Tower Collector - Clear the specified stage by building every type of tower
No Crossing - Clear the specified stage without crossing the bridge
Green Flag - Clear the specified stage without a tower ever upgrading
Picky Eater - Clear the specified stage without using the fire tower
Gem Hoarder - Clear the specified stage with 25 or more gems
Scrooge - Clear the specified stage with a balance of 10,000 worth of coins or more
Bomb The Boss - Clear the specified stage using only bombs to destroy the boss
Money Grubber - Clear a stage without losing a single coin
Construction Expert - Build 10 towers in less than 30 seconds upon entering a stage
Wave Goodbye - Clear an entire wave of enemies with only a bomb
Deep Impact - Destroy 15 enemies at once with the Mortar Tower

Encore : Scrooge's Return - Clear the specified stage with a balance of 12,000 worth of coins or more
Encore : Wishing Well - Drop 100 coins into the water and clear the specified stage
Encore : Zero Carat - Clear the specified stage without using gems
Encore : Lucky Find - Find an extra large stash of coins and gems

There is 5 Hidden Trophies yet to be identified.
